Resumo: | This theoretical study investigates the Lean Startup methodology used by Social Good Brazil (SGB), a Civil Society Organization, in the training of social entrepreneurs, seeking to indicate if this methodology is configured as a Social Technology (ST). According to the literature, due to its critical and purposeful character, the Social Technology stands out for proposing and providing Social Innovations that generate levels of social emancipation. The methodological procedures adopted in this study were the bibliographic research and hermeneutical analysis of theoretical categories and documents. The analysis was carried out based on the five principles of Lean Startup proposed by Eric Ries shows the existence of limits in the methodology used by the Social Good Brasil in terms of gave an instrumental treatment to social agents for the resolution of social problems, which hinders the achievement of transformative and inclusive actions. This is because the market logic that guides it is unidentified with the critical and purposeful character of Social Technology. |

Conforme a literatura, por seu caráter crítico e propositivo, a TS se notabiliza por propor e propiciar Inovações Sociais geradoras de níveis de emancipação social. Os procedimentos metodológicos adotados no ensaio foram a pesquisa bibliográfica e a analítica de categorias e documentos. A análise realizada partir dos cinco princípios da Startup Enxuta propostos por Ries (Origem; Centralidade do Empreendedor; Ciclo de Feedback; Tempo; e Enfoque na Contabilidade) evidencia a existência de limites na metodologia utilizada pelo SGB no que tange a instrumentalizar agentes sociais para a resolução de problemas sociais, o que obstaculiza a consecução de ações transformadoras e inclusivas.
