Archive group “School of Theater Leopoldo Fróes” and the applicability of archival description standards

Resumo: The article contains the application and analysis of two descriptive norms in the documentary collection from Leopoldo Fróes Theater School (ETLF). The archive group is part of the Casa de Memória Edmundo Cardoso (CMEC), located in Santa Maria, RS. The standards applied were: International Standard Archival Authority Record For Corporate Bodies, Persons and Families ISSAR (CPF) and the Brazilian Standard for Archival Description (NOBRADE). The three Finding Aid resulting from this action were: Archival Authority Record from Leopoldo Fróes Theater School, Description from Leopoldo Fróes Theater School Fundand, Description of the theater plays stagedby Leopoldo Fróes Theater School. The implementation of the norms of description in the documentary set made it possible to demonstrate its usefulness in archival practice. The study also enables the production of more descriptive and research tools at CMEC, as well as other archival institutions.

O fundo institucional integra o arquivo da Casa de Memória Edmundo Cardoso (CMEC), localizada em Santa Maria, RS. As normas aplicadas foram: Norma Internacional de Registro de Autoridade Arquivística para Entidades Coletivas, Pessoas e Famílias - ISAAR (CPF) ea Norma Brasileira de Descrição Arquivística (NOBRADE). Os três Instrumentos de Pesquisa (IPs)resultantes desta ação foram: Registro de Autoridade Arquivística da Escola de Teatro Leopoldo Fróes, Descrição do fundo Escola de Teatro Leopoldo Fróes e Descrição das peças teatrais encenadas pela Escola de Teatro Leopoldo Fróes. A implementação das normas de descrição no conjunto documental permitiu demonstrar a sua utilidade na prática arquivística.
