It proposes the study of comics, and their cultural, educational, and informational role, in the context of Archival Science and, based on this, specifically seeks relationships with the dissemination of archives. It addresses the use of comics to aid dissemination actions, such as heritage education and archival literacy. The work arose from the need to think about the use of unusual media in the academic world to disseminate archival information since there has been, in recent years in the academy, an emerging diversity of research that seeks to insert the use of comics in different areas of knowledge. The research is characterized as qualitative and uses as an object of study the compilation of strips "The Adventures of Organized, the archivist". The work presents, through comic strips, various themes relevant to the area. Therefore, an analysis of the work's strips was carried out based on a categorization that deals with archival functions and their definitions according to the Brazilian Dictionary of Archival Terminology (2005) and the Dictionary of Librarianship and Archivology (2008). In addition, there was an interview with the author of the strips. It was concluded that there is a need to encourage new media and technologies, as the use of non-traditional media can collaborate for broader dissemination of information, with the potential to reach new users and spread Archival Science and the archivist's profession to society. and, consequently, expand the job market in the area.
