Resumo: This essay contemplates a theoretical revision about music and its relations with the body on a philosophical, antropological and historical perspective, relatively distanced from the Phyisical Education, but close to the music and the body. The music in Physical Education always showed relation to the dance and gymnastics sphere, in its close relations to the rythm, besides having metodological affinity to games, play and singing. Free from conventions and methodological formalities, this essay objectives to expand the dialogue between researches about music related to Physical Education, trying to understand tensions with another studies and researchers.

La música en Educación Física siempre ha aparecido vinculada a la esfera de la danza y la gimnasia en su relación íntima con el ritmo, además de tener afinidad con los juegos, las diversiones y el canto. Libre de convenciones y formalidades metodológicas, este ensayo tiene como objetivo ampliar el diálogo con las investigaciones sobre la música en la Educación Física, intentando prever las tensiones con otros estudios e investigadores. Este ensaio contempla uma revisão teórica sobre a música e suas relações com o corpo sob uma perspectiva filosófica, antropológica e histórica, relativamente distanciada da Educação Física, mas próxima da música e do corpo. A música na Educação Física sempre apareceu atrelada à esfera da dança e da ginástica na sua íntima relação com o ritmo, além de ter afinidade com os jogos, as brincadeiras e o canto.
