Resumo: This article looked into the content of scientific works on bodily practices within the integrative and complementary perspectives in health, aiming to analyze its therapeutic potential. Articles were selected through a search on the CAPES Portal of Journals using 13 keywords. We found 228 articles and we analyzed eight of them, focused on bodily practices. Five studies evaluated intervention proposals using yoga, body techniques, RIME, massage and calatonia. Other works included validation of a questionnaire on mindfulness, an essay on reiki, and an experience report on a course on therapeutic touch. The articles indicated that bodily practices have potential for health benefits, expressed with sensations of relaxation, pain relief, increased well-being, reduced anxiety and stress and improved sleep, impacts on disease symptoms, as well as contributions to the processes of self-care and re-signification of the ways of conceiving and dealing with health-disease processes, considering the material and immaterial dimensions of the body.
