Attention to the men’s health in family health strategy units

Resumo: | The Policy of Integral Attention to Men's Health considers the health disorders of man's health as public health problems that require preventive behavior and specific care actions. This issue justifies the development of this study as to analyze the actions of men’s health care performed by nurses in Family Health Strategy Units and the conditions of these professionals information about the Integral Policy of Human Health in two municipalities in full management of the Vale do Rio Pardo - RS. This is a qualitative exploratory-descriptive research with fifteen nurses who answered to a questionnaire. The data collected were subjected to content analysis. The results indicate that nurses consider important to the men’s health policy, but there are still weak conditions for implementing this policy, in particular, knowledge, encouragement and planning of specific actions for the man. |

Esta problemática justifica el desarrollo de este estudio, que tiene como objetivo analizar las acciones de atención a la salud del hombre realizadas por enfermeros en Unidades de Estrategia de Salud de la Familia y las condiciones de información de dichos profesionales sobre la Política Integral de Salud del Hombre en dos localidades del Vale do Rio Pardo – RS. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, de tipo exploratorio-descriptivo, con quince enfermeras que contestaron a un cuestionario. Los datos recolectados fueron sometidos al análisis de contenido. Los resultados señalan que los enfermeros consideran importante la política de salud del hombre. Sin embargo, las condiciones de implementación de esta política todavía son débiles, especialmente, de conocimiento, incentivo y planificación de acciones específicas destinadas al hombre.A Política de Atenção Integral a Saúde do Homem considera os agravos de saúde do homem como problemas de saúde pública que demandam condutas e ações preventivas e assistenciais específicas. Esta problemática justifica o desenvolvimento deste estudo que tem como objetivo analisar as ações de atenção à saúde do homem realizadas por enfermeiros em Unidades de Estratégia de Saúde da Família e as condições de informação desses profissionais sobre a Política Integral de Saúde do Homem em dois municípios em gestão plena do Vale do Rio Pardo - RS. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter exploratório-descritivo com quinze enfermeiras que responderam a um questionário. Os dados coletados foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo. Os resultados apontam que os enfermeiros consideram importante a política de saúde do homem, porém ainda são frágeis as condições de implementação desta política, em especial, de conhecimento, incentivo e planejamento de ações específicas destinadas ao homem.
