Resumo: This dissertation involves the theme of social and economic reproduction of family units. More specifically, it seeks to analyze the socioeconomic reproduction strategies of families living in rural settlements in the municipality of Palmeira das Missões (RS). The settlements are called the Potreiro Bonito Settlement, the Terra Nova Settlement and the Antônio Joceli Correa Settlement (Nova Vida). The theoretical-methodological study approach uses Frank Ellis' livelihoods diversification approach as a study development tool, as well as for the analysis of the data obtained. The field research involved 33 families residing in the cited settlements from January to March 2020, through interviews conducted by the researcher herself. The data analysis methodology consisted of descriptive statistics, content analysis and cluster analysis. In this sense, the main assets, activities and socioeconomic reproduction strategies employed by the settled families were identified. In addition, we sought to build typologies of families according to the strategies they employed. The choice of rural settlements as an empirical research context was due to the continuity of the study initiated at graduation and personal interest. The results showed that the settled families use innumerable strategies of family socioeconomic reproduction, in which are production strategies (diversification of productive activities, access to financial credits, exchange of agricultural services and investment in soil productivity), income and work strategies (diversification of income sources and pluriactivity), agricultural partnership strategies, family self-consumption strategies and strategies for access to institutional markets (PNAE). These strategies are based, above all, on the local context, on the immediate needs of the family, on market instabilities and, mainly, on the social, human, physical, natural and financial assets available to families. In addition, it was possible to identify four different typologies in relation to the strategies employed, divided into pluriactive families (who have agricultural and non- agricultural income), agricultural families (but little technical), livestock families (intensive in dairy farming) and families that produce only for family self-consumption (those where the owners are already retired, have no children living on the property and like to live in the countryside, making their lot a place to live).

Mais especificamente, procura analisar as estratégias de reprodução socioeconômica das famílias residentes em assentamentos rurais do munícipio de Palmeira das Missões (RS). Os assentamentos são denominados de Assentamento Potreiro Bonito, Assentamento Terra Nova e Assentamento Antônio Joceli Correa (Nova Vida). A abordagem teórico-metodológica de estudo utiliza a abordagem de diversificação dos meios de vida (livelihoods) de Frank Ellis como ferramenta de desenvolvimento do estudo, bem como, para a análise dos dados obtidos. A pesquisa a campo envolveu 33 famílias residentes nos assentamentos citados no período de janeiro a março de 2020, por meio de entrevistas realizadas pela própria pesquisadora. A metodologia de análise de dados consistiu na estatística descritiva, na análise de conteúdo e na análise de clusters. Nesse sentido, foram identificados os principais ativos, atividades e estratégias de reprodução socioeconômica empregadas pelas famílias assentadas. Além disso, procurou-se construir tipologias de famílias de acordo com as estratégias por elas empregadas. A escolha dos assentamentos rurais como contexto empírico de pesquisa se deu pela continuidade do estudo iniciado na graduação e por interesse pessoal. Os resultados demostraram que as famílias assentadas utilizam inúmeras estratégias de reprodução socioeconômica familiar, em que estão estratégias de produção (diversificação de atividades produtivas, acesso a créditos financeiros, troca de serviços agrícolas e investimento na produtividade do solo), estratégias de renda e de trabalho (diversificação de fontes de renda e pluriatividade), estratégias de parceria agrícola, estratégias de autoconsumo familiar e estratégias de acesso aos mercados institucionais (PNAE). Essas estratégias são baseadas, sobretudo, no contexto local, nas necessidades imediatas da família, nas instabilidades de mercado e, principalmente, nos ativos sociais, humanos, físicos, naturais e financeiros disponíveis às famílias. Além disso, foi possível identificar quatro tipologias diferentes em relação às estratégias empregadas, divididas em famílias pluriativas (que possuem rendimentos agrícolas e não agrícolas), famílias agrícolas (mas pouco tecnificadas), famílias pecuaristas (intensiva na pecuária leiteira) e famílias que produzem somente para o autoconsumo familiar (são aquelas em que os proprietários já são aposentados, não possuem filhos morando na propriedade e gostam de morar no meio rural, fazendo de seu lote um local de moradia).porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaUFSM Palmeira das MissõesPrograma de Pós-Graduação em AgronegóciosUFSMBrasilAgronomiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAssentamentos ruraisMeios de vidaDesenvolvimento ruralTipologiasRural settlementsLivelihoodsRural developmentTypologiesCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIAEstratégias de reprodução socioeconômica familiar: um estudo nos assentamentos rurais de Palmeira das Missões (RS)Strategies for family socioeconomic reproduction : a study in rural settlements in Palmeira das Missões (RS)info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisSpanevello, Rosani Marisahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6662827969659065Matte, AlessandraXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXChechi, Letícia AndreaXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXMartins, Sinara Pizzi5001000000096008fd10b71-714f-4a1d-b985-3f050177816fc703bdc0-c03b-4ae6-a422-9c200db60b6bca430090-0c7b-4ec9-abe5-cb8303306f13a62e15f4-8cdf-4625-a5c5-2e6f57909b5ereponame:Repositório Institucional Manancial UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGAGRONEGOCIOS_2020_MARTIM_SINARA.pdfDIS_PPGAGRONEGOCIOS_2020_MARTIM_SINARA.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1538276http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/20969/1/DIS_PPGAGRONEGOCIOS_2020_MARTIM_SINARA.pdf676358650008c66ab3431f338491c3e1MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
