Resumo: | The present article addresses the electric power consumption profile of a household through Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM), showing the breakdown of the electric energy consumed by each appliance during a day of monitoring. Through this monitoring it becomes evident the importance of knowing the consumption profile of residential electric charges to seek the reduction of the expense with electric energy. The knowledge of the residential consumption profile allows a study to fit the new forms of charging available for low voltage installations and is also important in the demand side load management studies, essential in the context of Smart Grids. This study seeks to show the potential of Demand Response (DR) in residences based on the impact of a Time of Use (TOU) tariff, considering scenarios with and without changes in the habits of the residence occupants. |
