The difficulties and challenges of people with disabilities in the COVID-19 pandemic

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the impacts of COVID-19 on people with disabilities, since their situation before this phenomenon has already been neglected in several respects. In this sense, it proposes to investigate how this adaptation has been in the face of everyday issues, in the face of new norms and acquired habits of prevention and care. Based on these questions, a survey was structured using an online form, which sought to verify the support given to this target audience in this atypical situation. Although several restructurings have taken place on the social representation of people with disabilities, a more expressive change is still necessary, in order to encompass them as a whole in the social environment and enforce both inclusion and accessibility.

Nesse sentido, se propõem a investigar como tem sido essa adaptação frente às questões do cotidiano, diante das novas normas e aquisições dos hábitos de prevenção e cuidado. Com base nessas questões, estruturou-se uma pesquisa, por meio de um formulário online, que buscou averiguar qual o suporte dado a esse público alvo nessa situação atípica.
