Resumo: It aims to understand the social, psychological and physical consequences of the pandemic on the mental health of the elderly. An integrative literature review was conducted in January and February 2022. The selected platforms were: Portal Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and the repository Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS). Three categories were formed after reading and reviewing the material: social consequences (social isolation, distance from family, distance from groups, among others) psychological consequences (sadness, irritability, boredom, depression, anxiety, among others) physical consequences (loss of sleep, loss of appetite, physical activities, among others). One can see that in two years of the pandemic, the elderly population is being affected in several ways. We conclude that the pandemic can impact the quality of life of the elderly and. Therefore, a careful and attentive look at this population is necessary.

Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura nos meses de janeiro e fevereiro de 2022. As plataformas selecionadas foram: Portal Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) e o repositório Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS). Formou-se três categorias após a leitura e revisão do material: Consequências sociais (Isolamento social, distanciamento da família, distanciamento dos grupos, dentre outras) Consequências Psicológicas (tristeza, irritabilidade, tédio, depressão, ansiedade, dentre outras) Consequências físicas (perda do sono, perda do apetite, atividades físicas, dentre outras). Pode-se perceber que em dois anos de pandemia a população idosa está sendo afetada de diversas maneiras.
