Resumo: In this article, we aim to reflect on text as a procedural work that requires effort and involves different steps. Based on the Bakhtin Circle’s (BAKHTIN, 2015 [1930-1936], 2016 [1952-1953]; VOLÓCHINOV, 2018 [1929], 2019 1930]) postulate that language is alive and dialogic, we propose a model of the writing process. We assume that a written text is always elaborated within the social phenomenon of discursive interaction; thus, it includes not only different steps but also historical, ideological, cognitive, textual, and discursive aspects. The data produced by a graduate student while constructing an academic review showed that the text processing approach requires the consideration of situational context, spheres of human activity, speech genres, and dialogic relations, besides knowledge mobilization and the steps of writing. In addition, the corpus ascertains that work and effort are essential to produce a written text.

Ancoradas teoricamente no Círculo de Bakhtin (BAKHTIN, 2015 [1930-1936]; 2016 [1952-1953]; VOLÓCHINOV, 2018 [1929]; 2019 1930]), para quem a linguagem é viva e dialógica, apresentamos uma proposta de modelo de processamento da escrita, assumindo a ideia de que um texto escrito é sempre elaborado no fenômeno social da interação discursiva e, dessa forma, mais do que etapas distintas, abrange aspectos históricos, ideológicos, cognitivos, textuais e discursivos. Os dados que analisamos, relacionados ao processo de construção de uma resenha acadêmica elaborada por uma estudante universitária, mostram que não se pode falar em processamento textual sem levar em consideração o contexto situacional, os campos de atuação humana, os gêneros do discurso, as relações dialógicas, além da mobilização de conhecimentos e das próprias etapas de escritura.
