Times of reinvention, recreation and reunions: life has meanings

The text seeks to reflect on the current situation characterized by the Covid-19 pandemic. As a starting point, we highlight memories of an experience based on Liberation Theology, which influenced the emergence of Popular Social Movements, mainly in the western region of Santa Catarina. An analysis of repeated crises originating within the capitalist system is carried out, which, in its perversity, is re-created in multiple ways and becomes permanent in the crossing of our lives. And in the midst of the pandemic, technological sophistication stands out, the “technocratic paradigms” that, in the words of Pope Francisco, guide many governments around the world, but “are not enough to address this crisis, nor the other major problems of humanity”. The text mentions the important role of women in fighting Pandemic. Elements of the Christian biblical framework are added to the reflection that underlie and provoke the question: what re-invention, re-creation, re-encounters do we mean? The purpose is to reflect on the permanent need to improve the narrative and critical elements considered fundamental as a human perspective of life continuity.
