Resumo: The validation of black or brown applicants’ self-declarations can be attributed to the hetero-identification committees that aim to ensure a fair process. The committee members consider the applicants’ phenotypic and identity characteristics, concomitant with self-declarations, while the right to appeal is ensured. The objective of this work is to provide theoretical contributions about concepts such as performativity, identity and racial alterity, and the existing performativity between alterity and identity. Thus, the discussion of such issues helps the work of commissions, emphasizing the importance of affirmative actions that rely on the principles of legality and morality, crucial factors to ensure the rights of minorities.

Este proceso, concomitante con la autodeclaración, considera el derecho de análisis según las percepciones fenotípicas e identitarias de sus componentes, mientras que al candidato se le garantiza el derecho a recurrir. Este artículo busca aportar contribuciones, de carácter cualitativo, basados ​en una fundamentación bibliográfica, sobre conceptos como performatividad, identidad y alteridad racial, y sobre la performatividad existente entre alteridad e identidad. Los datos permiten legitimar la importancia del trabajo de las comisiones, teniendo en cuenta el principio de legalidad y moralidad, garantizando el acceso a las vacantes a quienes tengan derecho.As comissões de heteroidentificação possuem o fito de (re)afirmar ou negar a identidade dos candidatos autodeclarados negros ou pardos, garantindo a aplicabilidade da lei. Esse processo, concomitante à autodeclaração, considera o direito de análise de acordo com as percepções fenotípicas e identitárias de seus componentes, enquanto ao candidato é garantido o direito a recurso. Este artigo busca prover contribuições, de cunho qualitativo pautadas numa fundamentação bibliográfica sobre conceitos como performatividade, identidade e alteridade racial e, quanto à performatividade existente entre a alteridade e a identidade.
