In Brazil, micro and small companies play a fundamental role in the Brazilian socioeconomic context, representing a significant impact on the generation of income and jobs across the national environment. Given this scenario, companies of this size have several characteristics and specificities of their own, especially related to management, which can contribute to the high mortality of MSEs, when compared to medium and large companies. This study, therefore, had as main objective to carry out an organizational diagnosis of a martial arts school that has several characteristics in common to micro and small companies, suggesting intervention proposals and improvements from the analyzed situations. From a semi-structured interview with the organization's leaders, the diagnosis, analysis, and suggestion of proposals for the school were discussed considering the traditionalism acquired by the 30 years of its operation in one of the northeastern capitals.
