Resumo: This text is a reflection on my trajectory and training in the graduation course in Visual Arts, at the Federal University of Uberlândia. It is the completion of course work where it was developed in the line of research of Visual Arts, in which the emphasis is on the process of creation of the research artist himself accompanied by reflection on his processes. The result of this analysis is a colored woodcut production, based on my longing, memories and affective memory. The language of woodcut and the memory converge in a work that reflects this permanent mark and results in who I am today, just as I do in the process of engraving the matrix, with marks and scratches that result in images. I also share my research and experiences during the engraving process, with the different techniques that the language has acquired over time, as well as the different possibilities that it gains in contemporary times.
