Dinâmica de tempo e de pacing no campeonato brasileiro feminino de skyrunning 2023

Resumo: Although the time spent and the pacing in different segments of races are decisive factors for performance, there are few studies related to the topic in the context of mountain running. Thus, the aim of this study was to analyze the dynamics of time and pacing in the Brazilian Women's Skyrunning Championship 2023. The race was 48 km long (+ 2578 m). Ten runners participated in the study. In the Strava® system, segments of the first (1) and second (1) part of the race were created, as well as the ascents (4) and descents (4) of the route. Statistical analysis involved the Shapiro-Wilk test and Student's t test, adopting a significance level of p<0.05. There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison between the pacing of the first and second part of the race (p=0.087). On the other hand, there was a significant difference (p<0.001) between the average pacing of the uphills (13min24sec ± 02min05sec) and the downhill (06min44sec ± 01min03sec). Given these results, it is concluded that the pacing performed in the race was neutral. Furthermore, although the horizontal distance covered on downhills was greater, the pacing on uphills is practically double that performed on downhills.

Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a dinâmica de tempo e pacing no Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino de Skyrunning 2023. A prova contou com 48 km de distância (+ 2578 m). Dez corredoras participaram do estudo. No sistema Strava®, foram criados os segmentos da primeira (1) e segunda (1) metade de prova, bem como de subidas (4) e descidas (4) do percurso. A análise estatística envolveu o teste Shapiro-Wilk e o teste t de Student, adotando-se nível de significância de p<0,05. Não houve diferença estatisticamente significante na comparação entre o pacing da primeira e da segunda parte de prova (p=0,087). Por outro lado, houve diferença significante (p<0,001) entre o pacing médio das subidas (13min24seg ± 02min05seg) e das descidas (06min44seg ± 01min03seg). Diante desses resultados, conclui-se que o pacing executado na prova foi do tipo neutro.
