Law represents one of the most traditionalist and formal social sciences in existence. However, in a highly globalized society, where constantly new approaches to innovation are welcome, the legal sphere could not be shielded from such universal changes. In this same line of reasoning, it was necessary to idealize and perform a new strategy that presents effective resolutions, fast and widely accessible in the field of law, thus, legal design emerges. A new look that comprises a series of tools based on the principles of Design, such as the Mental Design Thinking model, an approach centered on the human being and the user experience. In view of this, this article aims to discuss the application of Legal Design and its aspects such as Visual Law and UX Design from the perspective of a "third path" that envisions new types of processes, services and legal interactions through methodologies not yet usual in this sector. In this journey, the results point to a new perspective regarding the principle of the operability of law, which now encompasses more agile and functional tools centered on the receiver, in order to make the legal services provided more satisfactory, and a justice rooted to its social function based on the democratization of its access.
