Resumo: Agriculture is one of the activities that most move the economy of Brazil, within it is the soy culture that places the country in the ranking of largest producers of this grain which, in turn, is one of the most expressive crops for the world economy. With such importance of this oilseed, the objective of this work is to verify possible correlations, through the IBM SPSS, between the costs of soybean production and the prices derived from petroleum (gasoline and diesel). The study was developed with data from the municipalities of Londrina-PR and Sorriso-MT, between the years 2007 to 2021, and the crop cost data were obtained from the CONAB website and fuel prices available on the ANP website. . Significant correlations can be found between variations in the prices of petroleum derivatives and some costs incurred in the production of transgenic and conventional soybeans, with emphasis on the cost of “Operations with machines”.

Com tal importância dessa oleaginosa o objetivo desse trabalho é o de verificar possíveis correlações, através IBM SPSS, entre os custos de produção da soja e os preços dos derivados do petróleo (gasolina e diesel). O estudo foi desenvolvido com os dados dos municípios de Londrina-PR e Sorriso-MT, entre os anos de 2007 até 2021, sendo que os dados de custo da safra foram obtidos no site da CONAB e os preços dos combustíveis disponibilizados no site da ANP.
