Introduction: Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) is a pathology characterized by the growth of multiple cysts that develop progressively, affecting the full functioning of the kidneys. Objective: This article aims to analyze the evidence of the pathology available in the literature, relating it to the importance of nursing actions and care. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review on productions that addressed Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases. The following descriptors were used: Polycystic Kidney Disease, Chronic Renal Failure, Glomerulonephritis and Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney. Only articles published in the last 10 years were included, also considering only full texts, free of charge and available in the Portuguese language. Results: Nurses play a key role in providing detailed information about the condition, offering emotional support, monitoring blood pressure, administering medication, advising on healthy lifestyle habits and collaborating with other health professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to caring for the disease. A total of 6 articles were selected for this study. Discussion: The articles selected presented the disease in general terms, emphasizing recurrent and rare clinical manifestations. Conclusion: Early diagnosis and a holistic nursing approach are essential for the effective management of the disease and the prevention of new comorbidities. In addition, it is important to carry out more clinical research into ADPKD in order to improve patient prognosis.
