Resumo: Long Exposure to noise of farm machinery can cause hearing problems in the operator. This study was done to evaluate the noise level emitted by an agricultural tractor in static and dynamic conditions. The work was done at UNIVASF, Petrolina / PE by measuring digital decibel of a tractor without cabin. The static measurements were taken at anterior, posterior, right and left positions of the operator’s seat at one meter interval to a distance of 12 m, using different engine’s rotation speeds with the measuring equipment fitted or not with a protective gadget. The dynamic measurements were taken at six speeds on a concrete, asphalt and soil track in the same manner. The noise level increased with decreasing distance and increasing rotation. The speed and floor type also interfered with the noise level.

O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar o nível de potência sonora emitido por um trator agrícola de pneus em função da rotação do motor, do raio de afastamento (condição estática) e em função das pistas e velocidade de deslocamento (condição dinâmica) comparando o decibelímetro, com e sem a proteção para vento. O trabalho foi realizado na Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco - UNIVASF, Petrolina/PE utilizando trator sem cabine e o medidor do nível de potência sonora. As medições foram: estática - nas posições anterior, posterior, direito e esquerdo do assento do operador, a cada metro até a distância máxima de 12 m, e nas diferentes rotações do motor com o equipamento de medição, utilizando ou não protetor; dinâmica - seis velocidades de deslocamento, em pista de concreto, asfalto e terra batida, utilizando o equipamento de medição com e sem proteção. O nível de potência sonora aumentou com a progressão da rotação e diminuição da distância.
