Resumo: Modeling aims to make built environments easier to understand, define and quantify materials, visualize, and simulate physical spaces. Currently, building information models (BIM) have been widely used in the creation phase of new constructions, but the use of BIM becomes a challenging process when it needs to be applied in buildings that were built before the technology existed. And today, engineering and construction needs more efficient information models for the reconstruction of 3D projects of old buildings and the architectural heritage of large cities, to facilitate decision-making in renovations and new adaptations. The traditional process to create or update the 3D modeling of a building built before BIM is a time-consuming and laborious procedure. Laser scanning technology from point clouds with the integration of a global positioning system, for refinement and adjustment of the external and internal environments of the building help to reduce errors. This article proposes a procedure capable of integrating images and accurate information from a mobile LiDAR scanner by point clouds, a positioning system, and finally, a reconstruction BIM model. The results showed that the procedures improved the quality of the reconstruction in terms of completeness, precision, and speed in modeling.

Universidade Federal de Viçosa - UFV2023-03-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufv.br/jcec/article/view/1560510.18540/jcecvl9iss3pp15605-01eThe Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences; Vol. 9 No. 3 (2023); 15605-01eThe Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences; Vol. 9 Núm. 3 (2023); 15605-01eThe Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences; v. 9 n. 3 (2023); 15605-01e2527-1075reponame:The Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciencesinstname:Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)instacron:UFVporhttps://periodicos.ufv.br/jcec/article/view/15605/7880Copyright (c) 2023 The Journal of Engineering and Exact Scienceshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessOliveira, Wenderson Igor de AlmeidaSilva, Felipe Wilson Leão daBarros, Laerte Melo2023-05-24T13:48:02Zoai:ojs.periodicos.ufv.br:article/15605Revistahttp://www.seer.ufv.br/seer/rbeq2/index.php/req2/oai2527-10752527-1075opendoar:2023-05-24T13:48:02The Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences - Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)false
