Resumo: | An experiment was conducted at the Poultry Section of the Department of Animal Science, Federal University of Viçosa to evaluate the effect of dietary supplementation of probiotics for laying hens in the period from 25 to 45 weeks of age. We used 300 laying hens of Hy-Line W-36 in a randomized block design with five treatments, six replicates and ten birds per experimental unit.Different concentrations of Bacillus subitilis were evaluated. Treatments (T) were: T1-control (free of growth promoters), T2, B. subitilis - 8x105 cfu / g of diet, T3, B. subitilis - 4x105 cfu / g of feed and T4, B. subitilis - 3x105 cfu / g of feed; T5, B. + B. licheniformis subtilis - 6.4 x105 cfu / g of feed. Feed intake, feed conversion per dozen eggs (kg / dz) and the percentage of shell, yolk and albumen were not affected (P> 0.05) by different concentrations of B. subitilis.Supplementation of Bacillus subitilis time increased (P <0.05) in egg production. This increase was 2.63% when comparing the treatment (T2), which was provided 8x105 cfu / g of diet, the treatment (T1) that received no source B. subitilis. Differences were observed (P <0.05) for weight and egg mass of birds subjected to diets containing different concentrations of B.subitillis. On average, the treatments containing probiotics provided 1.38% increase in egg weight compared to control treatment (T1). For mass of eggs, the increase obtained by the use of probiotics was on average 3.04% higher than the treatment (T1), and the best results were seen for the use of B. subitilis at a concentration of 8x105 cfu / g of diet (T2) and in association with B.licheniformis at a concentration of 6.4 x105 cfu / g of diet (T5). Different concentrations of B. subitilis influenced (P <0.05) feed conversion by egg mass. Supplementation of B. subitilis at a concentration of 4x105 cfu / g of diet (T3) gave the best results of feed conversion by egg mass in relation to other treatments. Differences were observed (P <0.05) for the matter content of excreta of laying hens dietary supplements with different concentrations of B.subitilis the period from 25 to 45 weeks of age. The excreta of birds fed treatments containing supplemental B. subitilis (T2, T3, T4 and T5) had an average dry matter content of 4.49% when compared with the excreta of birds fed the control treatment (T1). The supplementation of probiotics based on Bacillus subitilis promotes improved production and egg weight. It is recommended the dietary supplementation of probiotics for laying hens. |
