Efeito da infusão do caule de cipó-cravo (Tynnanthus fasciculatus Miers, Bignoniaceae) sobre as características morfométricas de componentes testiculares de ratos Wistar adultos

In the last years it has been increasing the search for substances of vegetable origin in the constant search of the resolution of the sexual dysfunctions, mainly of males. The Tynnanthus fasciculatus is a plant used like medicines to fight bad digestion and pains in the stomach, and also adopted popularly like general and aphrodisiac stimulant. It was evaluated the effects of the infusion of the stem herb T .fasciculatus at the corporal biometric and at the tubules and intertubules compartments in the testes of adult Wistar rats. Thirty male rats were used in reproductive age, separated in 3 groups, one control group, what received distilled water and two groups receiving infusion of the stem herb T. fasciculatus (dose 100 and 200mg/animal/day). The higher dose (200mg) promoted a significant increase in testes and in testicular parenchyma weights, in the volume and total length of the seminiferous tubules, in the daily spermatic production rate total and per gram of testis. The treatment with T. fasciculatus reduced the volumetric proportion and volume of conjunctive tissue and provided increase of macrophage of the intertubules. The dose 100mg/animal/day promoted increase of the volume of the Leydig cells, which can be justified by the increase of the number of Leydig cells and confirmed by the higher value of the Leydigosomatic index. These results can be associated to cellular interactions, where paracrine factors produced mainly by the Leydig cells and macrophages can be acting in the steroidogenic process. The present data suggest that the treatment with infusion of the stem herb T. fasciculatus, in the dose 200mg, promoted higher spermatogenic production, when there were any observed structures that demonstrating alterations in the testicular parenchyma or even the compromising of the spermatogenesis.
