La colaboración en procesos digitales de diseño: reflexiones a partir de una investigación-acción

There exists an increase of academic and professional interests to develop collaborative projects in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC). But none the less, very often those interests put in evidence an indiscriminate use of the term collaboration, promoted by inaccurate ideas like: the joint work, is a collaboration, and the collaboration is thanks to the digital technology. In all aspects, collaboration is the exchange of data interoperability amongst others. In this way, this work tackles the collaboration like a work technique with social objectives which characterize and focus its analysis and reflections in the field of AIC; having as an objective be an of the analysis in the collaboration of the digital design process. Grounded in a methodology of bibliographic review and the investigation – the action which refers to the direct contact of the researcher with the main actors of an action and the study which was divided into three principle stages: (1) meaning and characterization of the collaboration concept, exploring theoretically the different perspectives and context that Surround it; (2) discussion about the collaboration in the field of AIC, through of the digital context and contractual that, sometimes, describes itself as collaborative (3) analysis and characterization of a digital process of design that aims to the collaborative development by a team which is interinstitutional conformed by three groups of investigaction of three public Brazilian universities: Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Universidade de São Paulo and Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul. It was accompanied, participated and registered the development of the team activities since the perspective of the investigation group of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa. The study and evidence: the need to collaborate in actual society, characteristics of the collaboration concept, obstacles of collaboration, efforts realized in the field AIC to support and incentivize the collaboration; and reflections about the digital design process that the intention is collaborative in remote and physical distances.
