The curricularization of extension in UFABC admission courses

Resumo: This article portrays the inclusion of outreach activities in the curricula of interdisciplinary entry courses of Federal University of ABC – UFABC, in compliance with the provisions of the National Education Plan and the Guidelines for Outreach in Brazilian Higher Education, which advocate that outreach activities must compose a minimum of ten percent (10%) of the total curricular courseload of undergraduate courses. This is an exploratory qualitative study, carried out using the document analysis method. The results showed that outreach was inserted in the pedagogical projects of the courses, and are present in the curricular components the students must fulfill.

Se trata de un estudio cualitativo exploratorio, realizado a través del análisis de documentos. El resultado mostró que la extensión se insertó en los proyectos pedagógicos de los cursos, y están presentes en los componentes curriculares de los estudiantes.O presente artigo aborda a inserção da extensão no currículo dos cursos de ingresso, de formação interdisciplinar, da Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), em observância aos dispositivos do Plano Nacional de Educação e das Diretrizes para a Extensão na Educação Superior Brasileira. Esses documentos preconizam que as ações de extensão devem compor, no mínimo, 10% (dez por cento) do total da carga horária curricular dos cursos de graduação. Trata-se de um estudo com caráter qualitativo exploratório, realizado por meio da análise documental.
