Teachers' narratives during the pandemic: modernity/coloniality in feeling

Resumo: There is little reflection on emotions in studies carried out in the areas of education, learning, and teaching (Zembylas, 2006), given that modernity/coloniality denies them as part of knowledge construction. In this text, I highlight the period of school closures due to covid-19. I aim to analyze teachers' narratives about the unfolding of Covid-19, focusing on the emotions described in dialogue with decolonial studies. In this narrative research with a qualitative approach, narratives are analyzed based on connection strategies. Finally, the results indicate relationships between emotions, modern/colonial notions, and effects of the pandemic.

En este texto, destaco el período de cierre de escuelas debido al Covid-19. Propongo como objetivo analizar las narrativas de los docentes sobre las consecuencias del Covid-19, centrándome en las emociones descritas en diálogo con los estudios decoloniales. En esta investigación narrativa con enfoque cualitativo, se analizan narrativas a partir de estrategias de conexión. Finalmente, los resultados indican relaciones entre las emociones, las nociones modernas/coloniales y los efectos de la pandemia.Há pouca reflexão acerca das emoções em estudos realizados sobre educação, aprendizagem e ensino (Zembylas, 2006), uma vez que a modernidade/colonialidade as nega como parte da produção de conhecimento. Neste texto, destaco o período de fechamento das escolas devido à covid-19. Proponho como objetivo analisar narrativas de professoras sobre os desdobramentos da covid-19, com foco nas emoções descritas em diálogo com os estudos decoloniais. Nesta pesquisa narrativa de abordagem qualitativa, as narrativas são analisadas a partir de estratégias de conexão.
