Development of inter-organizational ties based on social networks: an explanatory model proposal

Resumo: The formation of organizational cooperation ties is a topic addressed by the Networks Theory, which presents different explanation lines to deal with the phenomenon. Although these lines provide a consistent resource base for their understanding, the lack of a unified view makes explicit the need for an integrative model. This article proposes an explanatory model to demonstrate the formation of cooperation ties between organizations, as a result of inter-individual social networks A qualitative theoretical study was carried out based on two thematic currents of network formation: social insertion and multiple levels of organizations theory. As a result, it was possible to develop an explanatory and integrated model capable of representing the formation of these ties from different perspectives, considering three variables: Multiplicity of Links, Amplitude of Interaction and Degree of Personal Influence. Through the model, in addition to the receptive posture, it is concluded that the propensity to transform individual ties into organizational ones also depends on the context. Interorganizational ties.La formación de lazos de cooperación organizacional es un tema abordado dentro de la teoría de redes, que presenta diferentes líneas de explicación para tratar el fenómeno. Aunque estas líneas tienen una base de recursos consistente para su comprensión, la falta de una visión unificada hace explícita la necesidad de un modelo integrador. Este artículo pretende proponer un modelo explicativo que demuestra la formación de lazos de cooperación entre organizaciones, como resultado de las redes sociales interindividuales. Para ello, se realizó un estudio teórico cualitativo basado en dos corrientes temáticas de formación de redes: la inserción social y la teoría de los múltiples niveles de organizaciones. Como resultado, fue posible desarrollar un modelo explicativo e integrado capaz de aclarar la formación de estos vínculos desde diferentes perspectivas, considerando tres variables: Multiplicidad de Vínculos, Rango de Interacción y Grado de Influencia Personal. Por medio del modelo, además de la postura receptiva, se concluye que la propensión a transformar los vínculos individuales en organizacionales depende también del contexto. Vínculos interorganizacionales.A formação de laços de cooperação organizacional é um tema abordado pela Teoria de Redes, a qual apresenta diferentes linhas de explicação para tratar do fenômeno. Embora estas linhas forneçam uma base consistente de recursos para o seu entendimento, a falta de uma visão unificada deixa explícita a necessidade de um modelo integrador. Este ensaio visa propor um modelo explicativo que demonstre a formação de laços de cooperação entre organizações, em função de redes sociais interindividuais. Para tal, foi realizado um estudo qualitativo teórico baseado em duas correntes temáticas de formação de redes: a inserção social e a teoria dos múltiplos níveis das organizações. Como resultado, foi possível desenvolver um modelo explicativo e integrado capaz de representar a formação destes laços por diferentes perspectivas, considerando três variáveis: a Multiplicidade de Laços, a Amplitude de Interação e o Grau de Influência Pessoal. Por meio do modelo, além da postura receptiva, conclui-se que a propensão pela transformação de laços individuais em organizacionais depende também do contexto. Palavras-chave: Redes Organizacionais.
