Práticas pedagógicas como alternativa facilitadora para a aprendizagem de microbiologia no ensino fundamental: relato de experiência

ABSTRACT: The main attributions of microbiology are to study the shape, structure, reproduction, physiology, metabolism and identification of microscopic beings, as well as their natural distribution, their reciprocal relations with other living beings, their beneficial and harmful effects on men and the physical and chemical changes they cause in the environment. In this sense, the objective of this study was to develop pedagogical practices aimed at teaching microbiology to students in the 7th grade of elementary school in a municipal school. The activities were carried out at the municipal school located in the city of Arapiraca, Brasília neighborhood. The target audience was students from the 7th of elementary school II. Approximately 60 students participated in the activities carried out. Lectures and practices focused on the themes developed during the intervention were carried out. After the practices and lectures, a semi-structured questionnaire was applied. With the result of the applied questionnaire, it was observed that the students did not understand exactly the focus and what studies the microbiology, however, they understood other issues, such as the issues of hygiene and pathogenicity of microorganisms. It can be said, based on the results, that more theoretical-practical interventions to concretize knowledge in relation to the topics addressed. KEYWORDS: Biology, Science teaching, Microorganisms.
