THE DECOLONIAL PERSPECTIVE OF THE BODY IN THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEGREE AT UFRRJ

Resumo: | The Eurocentric standards became pillars of the Physical Education, spreading its ideals and precepts. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the curriculum structure of the Degree in Physical Education at UFRRJ to understand the possible dialogues that can be established with the local culture through a decolonial perspective. The study, of a qualitative nature, is characterized by document analysis, it is of a descriptive nature. After analyze the course description, it is possible to find a strong presence of the both physical education and exercise science. The curriculum attenuates the sportive character inherited from the period of the dictatorship and today assumes a bias of biological health, which meets the interests of the faculty and the media pressure for the training of professionals to the fitness field. The course discusses key issues in the teaching of Physical Education, however, it does not have much emphasis on the local reality. |

Por eso, esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la estructura curricular de la Licenciatura en Educación Física de la UFRRJ para comprender los posibles diálogos que se pueden establecer con la cultura local a través de una perspectiva decolonial. El estudio, de carácter cualitativo, se caracteriza por el análisis documental, de carácter descriptivo. Al analizar los planes de estudios de las asignaturas, hay una fuerte presencia de ambas bachillerato y grado. El currículo mitiga el carácter deportivo heredado de la época militar y hoy asume un sesgo sanitario biológico, que sirve a los intereses de la instituición y a la presión mediática por la formación de profesionales para el campo del fitness. El curso trata temas que son centrales para la enseñanza de la Educación Física en la Escuela, sin embargo, no tiene mucho énfasis en la realidad local.Os padrões eurocêntricos tornaram-se pilares da Educação Física Escolar, disseminando seus ideais e preceitos. Por isto, esta pesquisa objetiva analisar a estrutura curricular do curso de Licenciatura em Educação Física da UFRRJ para compreender os possíveis diálogos que se pode estabelecer com a cultura local por meio de uma perspectiva decolonial. O estudo, de caráter qualitativo, se caracteriza por análise documental, de ordem descritiva. Quando analisa-se as ementas do curso, nota-se uma forte presença da licenciatura plena (bacharelado e licenciatura). O currículo, atenua o caráter esportivista herdado da ditadura e hoje assume um viés da saúde biológica, que atende a interesses do corpo docente e a pressão midiática pela formação de profissionais para o campo do fitness.
