Resumo: This article aims to reflect on literary literacy in Portuguese language classes, taking as a didactic-methodological scope the exercise of subjective reading for the teaching of literature in public schools. This approach stems from the concern that the school promotes levels of resistance in not conceiving new practices that can help the teaching of reading in co-production with the student’s knowledge. To this end, the text will maintain a constant dialogue with the thought of Paulo Freire and Jessé Souza as a theoretical support to understand the economic, political and social condition of the Brazilian people, extracting from these authors reflexive possibilities to conceive the exercise of literary reading as a political act in/for the classroom.

Esse recorte decorre da preocupação de que a escola promova níveis de resistência em não conceber novas práticas que possam auxiliar o ensino da leitura em coprodução ao conhecimento do estudante.
