Resumo: This research has its theoretical-methodological character based on assumptions of the EthnomathematicsProgram, in the “Dambrosian” aspect, and dialogues with the knowledge of the original peoples, how they organizetheir daily lives and, in turn, develop their mathematical knowledge/doing about their sociocultural needs. In this sense,looking at other ways of knowing/doing mathematics is recognizing that each social group has a traditional education system, built from the strengthening of its sociocultural aspects. Our focus is on the Guarani knowledge involved in theproduction of handicrafts and accessories, their artisanal know-how, which is passed down from generation to generation,in the arts/techniques of artisans and artisans. As a result of the investigation, we present a study on handicrafts andornaments produced by Guarani indigenous people from the Tekoha Ocoy community, in the municipality of São Migueldo Iguaçu, in western Paraná.

En este sentido,mirar otras formas de saber/hacer matemáticas es reconocer que cada grupo social tiene un sistema educativo tradicional,construido a partir del fortalecimiento de sus aspectos socioculturales. Nuestro enfoque está en el conocimiento guaraníinvolucrado en la producción de artesanías y accesorios, su saber hacer artesanal, que se transmite de generación engeneración, en las artes/técnicas de los artesanos y artesanas. Como resultado de la investigación, presentamos unestudio sobre artesanías y ornamentos producidos por indígenas guaraníes de la comunidad Tekoha Ocoy, en el municipio de São Miguel do Iguaçu, en el oeste de Paraná.Esta pesquisa salienta algumas discussões presentes em uma pesquisa de doutorado, possuindo seu caráterteórico-metodológico assentado em pressupostos do Programa Etnomatemática, na vertente “dambrosiana”, e dialogacom os saberes dos povos originários, como organizam seus cotidianos e, por sua vez, desenvolvem o seu saber/fazer matemático acerca de suas necessidades socioculturais. Nesse sentido, olhar para outras formas de saber/fazermatemático é reconhecer que cada grupo social possui um sistema de educação tradicional, construído a partir dofortalecimento de seus aspectos socioculturais. Nosso foco são os conhecimentos Guarani envolvidos na produçãode artesanatos e adereços, o seu saber/fazer artesanal, que é passado de geração em geração, nas artes/técnicas dosartesãos e das artesãs.
