Resumo: This research shows the knowledge of teachers of secondary education, physical education and other areas that working in public and private Maringá-PR on the knowledge that they consider necessary for the deal of the content of teaching physical education at school, to stock speakers to achieve this reality. The Delphi method (MIRANDA, 1991) was used to collect data, processed by statistical analysis and descriptive content analysis (BARDIN 1977). Research results indicate that teachers of high school, in general, consider as physical activity and health knowledge base of physical education classes, although not ignores the need to address elements body's own culture. There is a lack of an educational policy that allows the construction of a collective consciousness about what is physical education, his field of knowledge, treatment and educational links with different areas.

There is a lack of an educational policy that allows the construction of a collective consciousness about what is physical education, his field of knowledge, treatment and educational links with different areas.Essa pesquisa apresenta o conhecimento de docentes do ensino médio, da educação física e demais áreas, atuantes na rede pública e privada de Maringá-PR, acerca dos saberes que consideram necessários para o trato pedagógico dos conteúdos da educação física na escola, no sentido de se concretizar ações interventoras nesta realidade. O método Delphi (MIRANDA, 1991) foi utilizado para coleta dos dados, tratados por análise estatística descritiva e análise de conteúdo (BARDIN, 1977). Os resultados da investigação indicam que os professores do ensino médio, de modo geral, entendem ser atividade física e saúde o conhecimento base das aulas de educação física, embora não desconsiderem a necessidade de abordar elementos próprios da cultura corporal.
