The ethos as a constitutive instance of the ‘author’s image’ construction

Resumo: In this article, we intend to verify to what extent the discursive ethos (MAINGUENEAU, 2005, 2008a) affects the construction of 'author image' (MAINGUENEAU, 2010a, 2010b). More specifically, we intend to verify, from the analysis of excerpts from two articles published in the Brazilian online media about FLIP 2015's tribute to Mário de Andrade, to what extent the ethos of the enunciator (in this case, journalists) affects the ' author's image 'which is constructed by Mário de Andrade in these/through these two texts. The methodology used to analyze the texts is in line with Pêcheux's proposal ([1983] 1990), according to which the corpus approach should take place through a beat, an alternation between moments of description and interpretation. La metodología utilizada para analizar los textos está en línea con la propuesta de Pêcheux ([1983] 1990), según la cual el enfoque del corpus debería tener lugar a través de un ritmo, una alternancia entre momentos de descripción e interpretación. Mais especificamente, pretendemos verificar, a partir da análise de trechos de duas matérias publicadas na mídia online brasileira a respeito da homenagem que a FLIP 2015 faz a Mário de Andrade, em que medida o ethos do enunciador (no caso, jornalistas) afeta a ‘imagem de autor’ que é construída de Mário de Andrade nesses/por meio desses dois textos. A metodologia empregada para análise dos textos alinha-se à proposta de Pêcheux ([1983]1990), segundo a qual a abordagem do corpus deverá se dar por meio de um batimento, de uma alternância entre momentos de descrição e de interpretação.
