Na chamada sociedade da revolução microeletrônica, é possível acessar e conservar indefinidamente as informações e as imagens produzidas, no cotidiano, pelos meios de comunicação de massa. Com efeito, a memória digital permite contactar os dados numa velocidade cada vez mais estonteante. Mas que implica- ções poderiam ser observadas na esfera educacional em decorrência desse fato? O acesso a tais informações e às imagens realizaria o que Theodor W. Adorno denominou como formação cultural? Diante de tal contexto, insere-se o objetivo deste artigo: refletir sobre a atualidade do conceito de semiformação, tal como foi elaborado por Adorno em meados do século 20, na sociedade cujo acesso às informações e às imagens é principalmente feito por meio da chamada “distração concentrada”.Abstract In the so-called society of the microelectronic revolution it is possible to access and maintain indefinitely information and images produced daily by the mass media. In fact, the digital memory allows contacting data in an increasingly fast speed. But what implications could be noticed within the educational dimension due to this fact? Could the access to this kind of information and these images result in the cultural formation, as named by Theodor W. Adorno? Within this context, the aim of this article is to reflect on how contemporary the concept of semiformation is , as elaborated by Adorno in the middle of the twentieth century, in a society whose way of information and images access is mainly made by the so-called concentrated distraction.Keywords Concentrated distraction.
