Self-formation as "cultivation of the self": the Artist, the Philosopher and the Saint as pedagogical types

Resumo: This article seeks to reflect on the concept of self-training as a process of “cultivation of the self”, analyzed from the extemporaneous third entitled Schopenhauer as an Educator. Self-formation is investigated as a process that is effective as long as the affirmation of existence occurs. Taking as an example the figures of the artist, the philosopher and the saint as pedagogical types insofar as they exemplify the overcoming of the standardized and massified model of education and life present in modernity.

El autoformación se investiga como un proceso que es eficaz mientras se produzca la afirmación de la existencia. Tomando como ejemplo las figuras del artista, el filósofo y el santo como tipos pedagógicos en la medida en que ejemplifican la superación del modelo estandarizado y masificado de educación y vida presente en la modernidad.Este artigo busca refletir sobre o conceito de autoformação como um processo de “cultivo de si”, analisado com base na terceira extemporânea intitulada Schopenhauer como Educador. Investiga-se a autoformação como um processo que se efetiva na medida em que ocorre a afirmação da existência.
