Resumo: | This article argues the relation between the sense, categoryunderstood from the cultural-historical perspective and of the Theory of theActivity, and the change of the practical teacher’s, especially the choice ofmediating didactic tools. The presented data had been gotten by means of thework with teachers of mathematics in teaching activity, when collectivelyelaborating trigger-learning situations. The analysis of the results discloses thatthe sense is associated with the motive that moves the subject in the activity. In this process, the action change is entail of the news senses attributed inelapsing of the activity to the elements presents in the organization of teaching. |

Este artigo discute a relação entre o sentido, categoria entendida a partir da perspectiva histórico-cultural e da Teoria da Atividade, e a mudança da prática docente, especialmente a escolha de instrumentos didáticos mediadores. Os dados apresentados foram obtidos por meio do trabalho com professores de matemática em atividade de ensino, ao elaborarem coletivamente situações desencadeadoras de aprendizagem. A análise dos resultados revela que o sentido se vincula ao motivo que move o sujeito na atividade e nela se constitui.
