Jair Bolsonaro and the metaphorization of (without) a party in journalistic discourse

Resumo: Elected 38th president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro faced the first government crisis in his second month in office. Throughout 2019, the “crisis of orange candidacies” of the Social Liberal Party, or “Laranjal do PSL”, implied his departure from the party with which he was elected President. Under these conditions of production, we asked how the discourse about the current president of the Republic means in the press, taking the “Laranjal do PSL” as an entry in the archive, between October and November 2019. With principles and procedures of Discourse Analysis, we analyze formulations about “party” and Bolsonaro on the Folha de São Paulo website, situating the functioning of the politician in the discourse on politics and understanding how journalistic writing manuals, in relation to linguistic instruments, produce a standardization of the saying about Jair Bolsonaro “without a party” in the Brazilian corporate journalism.

A lo largo de 2019, la “crisis de las candidaturas naranjas” del Partido Social Liberal, o “Laranjal do PSL”, implicó su salida del partido con el que fue elegido presidente. En estas condiciones de producción, nos preguntamos cómo significa el discurso sobre el actual presidente de la República en la prensa, tomando el “Laranjal do PSL” como entrada en el archivo, entre octubre y noviembre de 2019. Con principios y procedimientos de Análisis del Discurso , analizamos formulaciones sobre “partido” y Bolsonaro en el sitio web Folha de São Paulo, ubicando el funcionamiento del político en el discurso sobre política y entendiendo cómo los manuales de redacción periodística, en relación con los instrumentos lingüísticos, producen una estandarización del dicho sobre Jair Bolsonaro “sin partido” en el periodismo corporativo brasileño.Eleito 38º presidente do Brasil, Jair Bolsonaro enfrentou a primeira crise governamental no segundo mês de mandato. Ao longo de 2019, a “crise das candidaturas laranjas” do Partido Social Liberal, ou “Laranjal do PSL”, levou à saída dele do partido com o qual se elegeu à Presidência. Nessas condições de produção, perguntamos como o discurso sobre o atual presidente da República funciona na imprensa, tomando como entrada no arquivo o “Laranjal do PSL”, entre outubro e novembro de 2019.
