Queer theory and archeology: by a stray archeology

Resumo: This paper puts in question the legitimation of the recognition of the LGBTQI + population regarding a category of gender: the Queer subject. Through the organization of two workshops held at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG) and the Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel), equipped with our methodological tripod -that is, information, construction and sensitization -we were able to dialogue with approximately 80 students on Archeology and the Queer Theory. Entitled Arqueologia e Teoria Queer: por uma Arqueologia Transviada, the workshop made it possible to elucidate the questions posed by Gontijo & Schaan (2017) through the ratification ofthe subordinated individual who is subordinate through the current binarity of gender, delimited by the values of Western culture.

A través de la organización de dos talleres realizados en la Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG) y en la Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel), equipados con nuestro trípode metodológico -es decir, información, construcción y sensibilización-, fuimos capaces de dialogar con aproximadamente 80 estudiantes sobre Arqueología y la Teoría Queer. Titulada como Arqueologia e Teoria Queer: por uma Arqueologia Transviada, el taller posibilitó elucidar los cuestionamientos planteados por Gontijo & Schaan (2017) a través de la ratificación del individuo transviado que queda subalterno mediante la vigente binariedad en los géneros occidentales.Este artigocoloca em pauta a legitimação do reconhecimento da população LGBTQI+ a respeito de uma categoria de gênero: o sujeito Queer. Através da organização de duas oficinas realizadas na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG) e na Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel), equipadas com nosso tripé metodológico -isto é, informação, construção e sensibilização -, fomos capazes de dialogar com aproximadamente 80 estudantes sobre Arqueologia e a Teoria Queer.
