Health Care with Hyperglycemic in Urgent and Emergency Situations

This study focused on discussing Health Care in Patients with Hyperglycemic Emergencies. For that, we followed the following objectives, general and specific, respectively: To identify in the literature which are the health care to be applied in the care of patients with Hyperglycemic Emergencies and Investigate the causes and consequences of Hyperglycemic Emergencies. The methodology used is a narrative literature review that consists of the general reading and critical analysis of research publications, such as scientific articles, monographs, dissertations, books, carried out by scholars from each area of ​​knowledge. Conclusions: we identified in the literature that the health care to be applied in the care of patients with Hyperglycemic Emergencies and, consequently, diabetes mellitus, are: psychosocial aspects with the aim of accompanying the patient and their family members to control and learn to deal with the illness. The causes of the onset of Hyperglycemic in a person are related to the imbalance in the production or absorption of insulin in the body, they are: total or partial insulin deficiency, endocrine disorders, such as hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma and acromegaly. The permanence of Hyperglycemic in an individual for a long time causes several consequences to the patient, such as, for example, lesions of micro and macro intensity of blood vessels, which can compromise the functionality of various organs, such as kidneys, nerves, heart, among others.
