Resumo: The present research addresses the importance of teacher training for professionals in the technical areas, especially those of Fashion Design. The purpose of this study is to reflect on the importance of the teacher training of the Fashion teacher, considering that there is a shortage of training courses and qualification in the area of teaching. The research carried out is of the qualitative bibliographical type. The data collection was carried out in articles, books and on the websites of three private universities located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The research was carried out in the months of June and July of 2018. It can be concluded that the Fashion area is new in Brazil, and higher education courses with a degree in Fashion, are still seeking their consolidation in society and in the educational environment. It should be pointed out that the main courses in this area have as main purpose in their curricular curriculum to approach technical and also theoretical disciplines, so that trained professionals can enter the job market qualified for acting in the area of education.

El objetivo del mismo es reflexionar sobre la importancia de la formación docente del profesor de Moda, teniendo en cuenta que hay falta de cursos formativos y de cualificación en el área de la docencia. La investigación realizada es del tipo bibliográfica de cuño cualitativo. La encuesta fue realizada en los meses de junio y julio de 2018. Se puede concluir que el área de Moda es nueva en Brasil, y los cursos superiores con formación en Moda, aún buscan por sus consolidaciones en la sociedad y en el medio educativo. Cabe señalar que los cursos superiores en esa área tienen como propósito principal en su currícula abordar disciplinas técnicas y también teóricas, para que los profesionales formados puedan ingresar en el mercado de trabajo habilitados para actuación en el área de la enseñanza.A presente pesquisa aborda a importância da formação docente para os profissionais das áreas técnicas, principalmente os de Design de Moda. O objetivo do mesmo é refletir sobre a importância da formação docente do professor de Moda, levando em conta que há falta de cursos formativos e de qualificação na área da docência. A pesquisa realizada é do tipo bibliográfica de cunho qualitativo. A coleta de dados foi realizada em artigos, livros e nos sites de três universidades privadas localizadas no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. A pesquisa foi realizada nos meses de junho e julho de 2018.  Pode-se concluir que a área de Moda é nova no Brasil, e os cursos superiores com formação em Moda, ainda buscam por suas consolidações na sociedade e no meio educacional.
