The technique of ctrl + c and ctrl + v: a study on the practice of plagiarism in the academic environment between students of a brazilian university

Resumo: The objective of this study is to verify how the technique of replication of works by "Ctrl + c" and "Crtl + v" is applied in the academic environment by university students of a Brazilian university, the main reasons for this practice, as well as the view of the students this problematic that has been causing great discussion in academic circles due to the ethical and authorial issues involved. For the analysis procedure, a study of the anti-graft law was carried out. In addition, an investigation was carried out on how technology has contributed to the practice of plagiarism among students of a Brazilian university. The technique used was a survey type. The results show that most of the students have knowledge about plagiarism and techniques to avoid it. However, many students have already reported plagiarism at university. In this perspective, it was emphasized that there should be a greater presence of debate on the ethical issues surrounding the act of plagiarism, seeking to minimize this act in the academic environment. There is also a need for universities to apply legal punishments to plagiarists.

Para el procedimiento del análisis se realizó un estudio de la ley antiplagio. Además se realizó una investigación de cómo la tecnología ha contribuido a la práctica del plagio entre los estudiantes de una universidad brasileña. La técnica utilizada fue el tipo survey. Los resultados apuntan que gran parte de los estudiantes tienen conocimiento acerca del plagio y de las técnicas para evitarlo. Sin embargo, muchos estudiantes afirmaron haber realizado el plagio en la universidad. En esa perspectiva, se resaltó que debe haber la mayor presencia de debate sobre las cuestiones éticas en torno al acto de plagiar, buscando minimizar ese acto en el medio académico. Hay también una necesidad de que las universidades apliquen los castigos legales a los plagiadores.O objetivo deste estudo verificar de que forma a técnica da replicação de trabalhos pelo “Ctrl+c” e “Crtl+v” é aplicada no meio acadêmico por estudantes universitários de uma universidade brasileira, as principais razões para a realização dessa prática, bem como a visão dos estudantes sobre essa problemática que vem acarretando grande discussão em meio acadêmico em virtude das questões éticas e de autoria envolvidas. Para o procedimento da análise foi realizado um estudo da lei antiplágio. Além disso foi realizada uma investigação de como a tecnologia tem contribuído para a prática do plágio entre os estudantes de uma universidade brasileira. A técnica utilizada foi a tipo survey. Os resultados apontam que grande parte dos estudantes tem conhecimento acerca do plágio e das técnicas para se evitá-lo. Todavia, muitos estudantes afirmaram já ter realizado o plágio na universidade. Nessa perspectiva, foi ressaltado que deve haver a maior presença de debate sobre as questões éticas em torno do ato de plagiar, buscando minimizar esse ato no meio acadêmico.
