Resumo: This paper presents results of a research that derives from the study of the derivative as a rate of change through the GeoGebra software, conducted with academics from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the North of Minas Gerais (IFNMG), Campus Januária. To conduct the research, a short course was offered, held in the mathematics laboratory of the institution, which aimed to verify how digital technologies and GeoGebra software can contribute to the process of teaching and learning the concepts of variation rate and derivative. As a methodology, a qualitative approach was adopted, as it sought to identify the participants' perception and experience during the development of the short course. Thus, it was realized that the use of GeoGebra software as a didactic resource, makes learning and studying the derivative as a rate of variation easier and more viable to understand, and not only through the pencil and paper media in the classroom. teach these contents, thus being able to contribute significantly in the study of the subject and consequently in the Mathematical Education. It was found that the use of GeoGebra software as a didactic resource allows the teaching of the derivative as a rate of variation can facilitate the teaching and learning process.

Para realizar la investigación, se ofreció un curso corto, realizado en el laboratorio de Matemáticas de la institución, cuyo objetivo era verificar cómo las tecnologías digitales y el software GeoGebra pueden contribuir al proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los conceptos de razones de variación y derivada. Como metodología, se adoptó un enfoque cualitativo, ya que buscaba identificar la percepción y la experiencia de los participantes durante el desarrollo del mini curso. Por lo tanto, se dio cuenta de que el uso del software GeoGebra como recurso didáctico hace que el aprendizaje y el estudio de la derivada como una tasa de cambio sea más fácil y más viable de entender, y no solo a través del lápiz y el papel en el aula, para enseñar estos contenidos, pudiendo así contribuir significativamente en el estudio del tema y, en consecuencia, en la Educación Matemática. Se encontró que el uso del software GeoGebra como recurso didáctico, permite la enseñanza del derivado ya que una tasa de variación puede facilitar el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.Este trabalho apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa que trata do estudo da derivada como taxa de variação por meio do software GeoGebra, realizado com acadêmicos do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Norte de Minas Gerais (IFNMG), Campus Januária. Para a realização da pesquisa, foi oferecido um minicurso, realizado no laboratório de Matemática da instituição, que teve como objetivo verificar como as tecnologias digitais e o software GeoGebra podem contribuir no processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos conceitos de taxa de variação e derivada. Como metodologia foi adotada uma abordagem qualitativa, pois procurou-se identificar a percepção e a experiência dos participantes durante o desenvolvimento do minicurso. Assim, percebeu-se que a utilização do software GeoGebra como recurso didático, torna o aprendizado e o estudo da derivada como taxa de variação mais fácil e viável de ser compreendido, e não somente através das mídias lápis e papel na sala de aula, para ensinar estes conteúdos, podendo assim contribuir de forma significativa no estudo do tema e consequentemente na Educação Matemática.
