The pharmaceutical professional in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, performance in pharmacies and drugstores

Resumo: The objective of this work is to evaluate and discuss the proposals imposed by the Health Organs and the Federal Council of Pharmacy to the pharmacist’s performance in pharmacies and drugstores in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, through a documentary research. The pharmaceutical professional is located in a strategic establishment, the pharmacy or drugstore, is of wide reach in the population, which makes him/her a privileged professional. For this search, the following sites were used: National Health Surveillance Agency; Ministry of Health; Federal Council of Pharmacy. The qualitative analysis of the documents resulted in three categories for the discussion on the recommendations of pharmaceutical services in pharmacies and drugstores: the leading pharmacists in the fight against COVID-19, Pharmaceutical Care and Assistance for the Rational use of medicines and dispensing. Resulting in the dissemination of continuous and integrated activities related to the use of medicines that aim to protect, promote and recover health, in the face of the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

El profesional farmacéutico se encuentra en un establecimiento estratégico, la farmacia o droguería es de amplio alcance de la población, lo que lo convierte en un profesional privilegiado. Para esta búsqueda se utilizaron los siguientes sitios: Agencia Nacional de Vigilancia Sanitaria; Ministerio de Salud; Consejo Federal de Farmacia. El análisis cualitativo de los archivos resultó en tres categorías para la discusión sobre las recomendaciones de los servicios farmacéuticos en farmacias y droguerías, los farmacéuticos protagonistas en la lucha contra COVID-19, Atención farmacéutica y Asistencia para el uso racional de medicamentos y dispensación. Resultando en la difusión de actividades continuas e integradas relacionadas con el uso de medicamentos dirigidas a la protección, promoción y recuperación de la salud, frente a los desafíos de la pandemia COVID-19.Objetiva-se, neste trabalho, avaliar e debater as propostas impostas pelos Órgãos responsáveis e pelo Conselho Federal de Farmácia à atuação do profissional de farmácia em drogarias durante a pandemia de COVID-19, por meio de uma pesquisa realizada em documentos específicos. O profissional farmacêutico encontra-se em um estabelecimento estratégico, a farmácia ou drogaria, é de amplo alcance da população, o que o torna um profissional privilegiado. Para esta busca, utilizou-se os seguintes sites: Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária; Ministério da Saúde; Conselho Federal de Farmácia. A análise qualitativa dos arquivos resultou em três categorias para a discussão sobre as recomendações dos serviços farmacêuticos nesses esstabelecimentos onde os profissionais atuam, os farmacêuticos protagonistas no combate da COVID-19, Atenção e Assistência Farmacêutica para uso Racional de Medicamentos e dispensação.
