Summary: | This work evaluated the potential environmental effects of the rammed earth construction technique, taking into account several configurations typically found in Brazil. Three Portland cement contents were evaluated: 5%, 10% and 15%. (in large scale). The phases of production and transport of materials, construction and completion of Taipa's life cycle were considered through the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology. The various configurations of the rammed earth systems were contrasted with a masonry of structural ceramic blocks, structural concrete blocks and locally cast concrete walls. The calculated indices showed that the rammed earth is more advantageous, especially when the thermal capacity and the calculated sound reduction index are taken into account when choosing the functional unit. taipam were cement production and wood type. Therefore, it was possible to determine the potential life cycle environmental effects of this construction technique, which were parameterized by wall and cement thickness, with regression-derived equations being presented. Recommendations were also made to improve the environmental impact of rammed earth amid current environmental problems. |

Las fases de producción y transporte de materiales, construcción y finalización del ciclo de vida de Taipa fueron consideradas a través de la metodología Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Las diversas configuraciones de los sistemas de tapial se contrastaron con una mampostería de bloques cerámicos estructurales, bloques de hormigón estructural y muros de hormigón colado localmente. Los índices calculados mostraron que la tierra apisonada es más ventajosa, especialmente cuando se tiene en cuenta la capacidad térmica y el índice de reducción de sonido calculado al elegir la unidad funcional.taipam fueron la producción de cemento y el tipo de madera. Por lo tanto, fue posible determinar los efectos ambientales potenciales del ciclo de vida de esta técnica de construcción, que se parametrizaron por espesor de pared y cemento, presentándose ecuaciones derivadas de regresión. También se hicieron recomendaciones para mejorar el impacto ambiental de la tierra apisonada en medio de los problemas ambientales actuales.Este trabalho avaliou os potenciais efeitos ambientais na técnica de construção da taipa de pilão, levando em consideração várias configurações tipicamente encontradas no Brasil. Três teores de cimento Portland foram avaliados: 5%, 10% e 15%. (em massa). As fases de produção e transporte de materiais, construção e conclusão do ciclo de vida da Taipa foram consideradas através da metodologia de Avaliação do Ciclo de Vida (ACV). As várias configurações dos sistemas de taipa-de-pilo foram contrastadas com uma alvenaria de blocos cerâmicos estruturais, blocos de concreto estrutural e paredes de concreto moldado localmente. Os índices apurados demonstraram que a taipa de pilão é mais vantajosa, principalmente quando a capacidade térmica e o índice de redução de som calculado são levados em consideração na escolha da unidade funcional. Os fatores que mais influenciaram os efeitos ambientais no ciclo de vida do pilo taipam foram a produção de cimento e o tipo de madeira. Por conseguinte, foi possível determinar os potenciais efeitos ambientais do ciclo de vida desta técnica de construção, que foram parametrizados pela espessura da parede e do cimento, com equações derivadas de regressão sendo apresentadas.
