Resumo: The study aimed to characterize the most prevalent pathologies at outpatient level in a first geriatric consultation between from 2016 to 2019 in a teaching hospital in Belém do Pará. Data was collected from the medical records of Hospital Jean Bittar in the period described above, using a Term of Consent for the Use of Data (TCUD) and having a sample of 211 records. Among the main morbidities identified in the analyzed period, there is a predominance of Hypertension as the main morbidity throughout the study period. There is a significant percentage of cases of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, followed by Neoplasms, Osteoarthritis and Obesity. It is concluded that it is necessary to promote research related to the aforementioned diseases, as they affect a significant portion of the population.

Entre las principales morbilidades identificadas en el período analizado, hay un predominio de la Hipertensión Arterial como principal morbilidad a lo largo del período de estudio. Existe un porcentaje significativo de casos de Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 2, seguida de Neoplasias, Artrosis y Obesidad. Se concluye que es necesario incentivar la investigación relacionada con las enfermedades antes mencionadas, ya que afectan a una porción importante de la población.O estudo objetivou caracterizar as patologias mais prevalentes a nível ambulatorial em uma primeira consulta de geriatria entre os anos de 2016 e 2019 em um hospital de ensino em Belém do Pará. Foi realizada uma coleta de dados nos prontuários do Hospital Jean Bittar no período descrito anteriormente, sendo utilizado um Termo de Consentimento com a Utilização de Dados (TCUD) e havendo uma amostra de 211 prontuários. Dentre as principais morbidades identificadas no período analisado, há a predominância de Hipertensão Arterial como principal morbidade em todo o período do estudo. Há uma porcentagem significativa de casos de Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 2, seguida de Neoplasias, Osteoartrite e Obesidade.
