Resumo: This article aims to establish a reflection on the dilemmas and impasses for the approximation between the public university and the public school, from a critical perspective of the current reality, in the sense of an insertion of students from the lower classes in education superior public, free and of quality. The project results justify the university's ethical need for inclusion and democratization of higher education. With high school students as centrality, the main results are: i) the current feeling of estrangement in the face of the University; ii) the concern with student inclusion and permanence; iii) the understanding that access to the University is not a challenge or acceptance, but a right.

Los resultados del proyecto justifican la necesidad ética de la universidad de incluir y democratizar la educación superior. Con los estudiantes de secundaria como centralidad, los principales resultados son: i) el actual sentimiento de extrañamiento frente a la Universidad; ii) la preocupación por la inclusión y permanencia de los estudiantes; iii) el entendimiento de que el acceso a la Universidad no es un desafío ni una aceptación, sino un derecho.O presente artigo objetiva-se em estabelecer uma reflexão acerca dos dilemas e impasses para a aproximação entre a universidade pública e a escola pública, a partir de uma perspectiva crítica da realidade atual, no sentido de uma inserção do alunato oriundo das camadas populares no ensino público superior, gratuito e de qualidade. Os resultados do projeto justificam a necessidade ética da universidade, de inclusão e democratização do ensino superior.
