The use of manga for teaching reading: An investigation into the insertion of Japanese literature with primary school students

Resumo: | Manga can be seen as a teaching tool, allowing the student to be the protagonist of the process of encounter between the word and the subject who reads and establishing an experience that can modify the conception that both have of the world and of their own existences. The main objective of this article is to investigate the acceptance of the use of Mangas as a methodological practice in the classroom, as well as to analyze the contribution that they have been bringing to students after a school term participating in activities with readings with this new literature. In order to verify the students' acceptance of this methodology, we carried out an investigation study of the initial conceptions through an investigative questionnaire. With the result of the investigation, it was possible to find elements that allow the use of manga as part of the teaching and learning process and also to perceive the potential of such materials as didactic resources capable of contributing to the mediation and teaching of content and concepts of Portuguese Language and New Literatures. |

El objetivo principal de este artículo es indagar en la aceptación del uso de Mangas como práctica metodológica en el aula, así como analizar el aporte que han venido brindando a los estudiantes luego de un ciclo escolar participando en actividades con lecturas con esta nueva literatura. Para comprobar la aceptación de esta metodología por parte de los estudiantes, se realizó un estudio de investigación de las concepciones iniciales a través de un cuestionario de investigación. Con el resultado de la investigación fue posible encontrar elementos que permitan el uso del manga como parte del proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje y también percibir el potencial de dichos materiales como recursos didácticos capaces de contribuir a la mediación y enseñanza de contenidos y conceptos de Lengua Portuguesa y Nuevas Literaturas.Os mangás podem ser vistos como uma ferramenta de ensino, possibilitando ao aluno ser protagonista do processo de encontro entre a palavra e o sujeito que lê e estabelecendo uma experiência que pode modificar a concepção que ambos têm do mundo e das suas próprias existências. O presente artigo tem como principal objetivo investigar aceitação da utilização dos Mangás como prática metodológica em sala de aula, bem como analisar a contribuição que os mesmos vêm trazendo para os estudantes após um período letivo participando de atividades com leituras com essa nova literatura. A fim de verificar a aceitação dos alunos sobre essa metodologia, realizamos um estudo de investigação das concepções iniciais por meio de um questionário investigativo.
