Resumo: The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is an instrument used to standardize nursing actions aiming at patient care security. The objective of the study is to design and implement a SOP in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Invasive Blood Pressure (IBP), with the collaboration of the nursing department of the sector and the permanent education of the hospital. The study was carried out in a Hospital of the Federal Network of the city of Rio de Janeiro, located in the southern zone. This is an integrative review of the literature. For the elaboration and implementation of the SOP, relevant literature was used to promote the scientific basis and adaptation of the routine to the reality of the hospital after. As a result, the implementation of a new SOP in the sector was obtained, in order to standardize the nursing actions regarding the manipulation of the IBP, promoting a greater safety for the patient.

El objetivo del estudio es elaborar e implementar un POP en una Unidad de Terapia Intensiva Adulta (UTI) sobre Presión Arterial Invasiva (PAI), con la colaboración de la jefatura de enfermería del sector y de la educación permanente del hospital. El trabajo fue realizado en un Hospital de la Red Federal del municipio de Río de Janeiro, ubicado en la zona sur. Se trata de una revisión integrativa de la literatura. Para la elaboración e implementación del POP se utilizaron literaturas pertinentes al tema promoviendo el fundamento científico y adaptación de la rutina a la realidad del hospital después. Como resultado, se logró la implementación de un nuevo POP en el sector, de forma a estandarizar las acciones de enfermería en cuanto a la manipulación de la PAI, promoviendo una mayor seguridad para el paciente.O Procedimento Operacional Padrão (POP) é um instrumento utilizado para padronizar as ações de enfermagem objetivando a segurança na assistência ao paciente. O objetivo do estudo é elaborar e implementar um POP em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Adulta (UTI) sobre Pressão Arterial Invasiva (PAI), com a colaboração da chefia de enfermagem do setor e da educação permanente do hospital. O trabalho foi realizado em um Hospital da Rede Federal do município do Rio de Janeiro, localizado na zona sul. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Para a elaboração e implementação do POP foram utilizadas literaturas pertinentes ao assunto promovendo o embasamento científico e adaptação da rotina à realidade do hospital após.
