Documentation of the volume of historical buildings through point clouds: an experiment at Pelourinho in Salvador, Bahia

Resumo: In this work, a process flow was proposed for the construction of geometric models of a set of buildings located in Pelourinho, Salvador in Bahia. The workflow for the construction of textured models in SketchUP required the acquisition of aerial and terrestrial images of the buildings, the generation of point clouds and orthophotos by photogrammetric processes in Photoscan, the orthophoto treatment in Photoshop, and finally the production of point cloud sections in AutoCAD. The steps defined for the construction of geometric models made it possible to reach the goal. However, new methodologies need to be developed and refined to simplify processes, reducing labor and processing time.

El flujo de trabajo para la construcción de modelos texturizados en SketchUP requirió la adquisición de imágenes aéreas y terrestres de los edificios, la generación de nubes de puntos y ortofotos mediante procesos fotogramétricos en Photoscan, el tratamiento de ortofoto en Photoshop y finalmente la producción. de secciones de nube de puntos en AutoCAD. Los pasos definidos para la construcción de modelos geométricos permitieron alcanzar el objetivo. Sin embargo, se deben desarrollar y refinar nuevas metodologías para simplificar los procesos, reduciendo la mano de obra y el tiempo de procesamiento.Neste trabalho, foi proposto um fluxo de processos para construção dos modelos geométricos de um conjunto de edificações localizadas no Pelourinho, em Salvador na Bahia. O fluxo de trabalho para construção dos modelos texturizados em SketchUP, demandou a aquisição de imagens aéreas e terrestres das edificações, a geração de nuvens de pontos e ortofotos por processos fotogramétricos no Photoscan, o tratamento das ortofotos no Photoshop, e por fim, a produção de seções das nuvens de pontos no AutoCAD. As etapas definidas para a construção dos modelos geométricos possibilitaram que o objetivo fosse atingido.
