Occupational Therapy in hospital settings: an assistive solution for the prevention and treatment of Pressure Injuries

Resumo: | This article prioritizes the report of an intervention plan developed by occupational therapists in Hospital Contexts, translated into an assistive solution according to the needs of adult patients hospitalized in the Wards, pointing out the possibilities that the assistive product offers, for the prevention and the treatment of Pressure Injuries (LPP). This study is based on the theoretical-methodological framework of Ergology, which aims to understand human work, originating from studies called Pluridisciplinary Analysis of Work Situations. It was developed in a Federal Hospital Unit in Rio de Janeiro, which is a promising element, as it includes several health teams, with a commitment to developing safe practices and quality health care. The object of study is divided into an Action Plan incorporating assistive products with guidelines on how to use them and a Care Plan with the actions / guidelines of care for patients and family members aiming at postural adequacy with the placement of assistive products of bed positioning, used in the clinical practice of the occupational therapist. It will be urgent to carry out future studies in order to monitor and obtain a return on the preventive care carried out; deepen issues related to the practical application of the use of assistive products and embark on studies that include the informal caregivers of patients in this process. |

Este estudio se basa en el marco teórico-metodológico de la Ergología, que tiene como objetivo comprender el trabajo humano, a partir de los estudios denominados Análisis Pluridisciplinar de Situaciones Laborales. Se desarrolló en una Unidad Hospitalaria Federal de Río de Janeiro, lo que es un elemento prometedor, ya que incluye varios equipos de salud, con el compromiso de desarrollar prácticas seguras y atención de salud de calidad. El objeto de estudio se divide en un Plan de Acción que incorpora productos auxiliares con pautas de uso y un Plan de Cuidados con acciones / orientaciones de cuidado para pacientes y familiares que apuntan a la adecuación postural con la colocación de productos auxiliares. posicionamiento de la cama, utilizado en la práctica clínica del terapeuta ocupacional. Será urgente realizar futuros estudios con el fin de monitorear y obtener un retorno de la atención preventiva brindada; profundizar en temas relacionados con la aplicación práctica del uso de productos auxiliares y emprender estudios que incluyan a los cuidadores informales de pacientes en este processo.Neste artigo prioriza-se o relato de um plano de intervenções desenvolvido pelos terapeutas ocupacionais em Contextos Hospitalares, traduzido em uma solução assistiva de acordo com as necessidades dos pacientes adultos hospitalizados nas Enfermarias, apontando as possibilidades que o produto assistivo oferece, para a prevenção e o tratamento das Lesões por Pressão (LPP). Este estudo baseia-se no referencial teórico-metodológico da Ergologia, que visa à compreensão do trabalho humano, com origem em estudos denominados de Análise Pluridisciplinar das Situações de Trabalho. O mesmo foi desenvolvido em uma Unidade Hospitalar Federal do Rio de Janeiro, que se configura como elemento promissor, pois nela encontra-se inserida várias equipes de saúde, com o compromisso de desenvolver práticas seguras e cuidado de saúde de qualidade. O objeto de estudo divide-se em um Plano de Ação incorporando os produtos assistivos com orientações de como utilizá-los e um Plano de Cuidado com as ações/orientações de cuidado aos pacientes e familiares visando à adequação postural/funcional com a colocação de produtos assistivos de posicionamento no leito, empregados na prática clínica do terapeuta ocupacional.
